Rinku who has written extensively about her father and his work, feels that though he is a revered figure in Indian Cinema, not many writers have written about his work. "According to me the path breaking film that he created was Do Bigha Zamin.". "Though we have had Bimal Roy retrospectives in Calcutta and elsewhere in Maharashtra and Kerela, this the first time we are screening his films in Mumbai," she says. One of his biggest commercial hits Madhumati was once-in-a-lifetime coming together of many legends: Ritwick Ghatak as the writer, Hrishikesh Mukhejee as editor, Salil Chowdhury as composer and Dilip Kumar as actor. It was among the first films that broke away from the conventional Hindi films. And it was made in 1953," says Shyam Benegal. We tried to hire another one, but all were booked. And of course if you look into his body of work, you will find they have a great deal of literary merit," says Benegal adding that it is what set Roy apart from most of the mainstream Hindi filmmakers of his time.

The department of telecom has approved the spectrum sharing deal between Ambani brothers-led telecom firms, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd and Reliance Com-munications... Meanwhile, DoT will soon issue ‘Know Your Customers’ guidelines to ensure easy availability of mobile SIM cards to facilitate machine-to-machine communication in devices like CCTV cameras and ACs to be deployed mainly in smart cities. "We wish to inform that DoT has taken on record 800Mhz spectrum sharing in seven circles of the company and two circles of Reliance Telecom Ltd, wholly-owned subsi-diary with RJIL on 21st April 2016," RCom said in a regulatory filing.

The subjects were then taken out of the machine and given a nasal spray. Back inside the machine, the computerized embroidery machines Wholesalers subjects were again shownimages of their ex and subjected to pain.Mr Bhardwaj, using a dummy EVM, alleged that on the polling a six-digit secret code could be fed to manipulate a machine wh-ile casting vote. His deputy Manish Sisodia claimed th-at the democracy is in danger and urged rivals to look beyond the theory of "your machine vs my machine". The Election Commission denied his claim that EVMs can be programmed to favour any particular party. Kumar Vishwas, one of the senior-most AAP functionaries and sacked minister Kapil Mishra were among the few who said it was not right for the party to blame the EVMs for its electoral defeats. The Election Commission of India has, however, dismissed the EVM claims.

These service offerings are done through a partnership with Tookitaki’s machine-learning- powered platform. They add that there is an urgent need for these institutions to automate many of these processes, reducing errors and accelerating their response times to incidents. The ongoing efforts to manually detect money laundering, dealing with false alarms and fragmented reconciliation processes are costly and time consuming.Smart Reconciliation Management: An automated approach to reconciliation management across business functions. This shifts reconciliation from being China embroidery machines Wholesalers subjective and error-prone to objective and more accurate. To address these challenges, Mindtree and Tookitaki are now offering these services:Smart Alert Management: An automated, dynamically-adaptive model based on artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to detect suspicious cases more accurately.(Source).

It reduces false alerts, increases true positives (suspicious cases missed by rules/ legacy systems), lowers costs, and helps the productivity of analysts. Banks can automatically handle exceptions and correct source systems while staying compliant.Mindtree is using artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to help banks improve their ability to detect financial crimes and enhance reconciliation management.Mindtree states that banks and other financial institutions are challenged by both the rising sophistication of financial crimes worldwide and increasingly complex regulations requiring strict operating and reporting standards. Using machine learning and analytics, it increases match rates, resolves exceptions, recommends adjustment amounts and generates an audit trail for thorough business understanding.

But if I feel that something needs to be written, I write it," he says. The image stuck with me.Anees was a different child. All this time, his writing had been on the go. "I stayed there for hardly six months," Anees recalls. In a place like Kerala, you don’t see poverty. But, he started liking Varkala when he returned home after travelling to various places in India. When I sit down and write, I like to sprinkle the story with humour. All the while, he was writing. Within an hour, he asked for the whole book and then the contact number. His only solace was reading the books in their home library. All this happened on a Friday and things were set by Monday," says Anees, who doesn’t like the idea of attending launches or award-ceremonies. "When I was really alone and struggling, what helped me was this sense of humour. She lost her sight when I was 12 or 13 and regained it 20 years later. Then, I revealed my identity. The book was completed in six months," says the writer who by that time, had sent his earlier works to almost all literary agents and publishing houses.

Similarly, if you want to highlight a bright wall behind your bed, then beads embroidery machines Factory use a simple linen bedcover with subtle colours or embroidery so that your living space feels balanced, warm, welcoming and pleasing to the eye. These colour combinations exude creativity and wake up even the smallest of spaces. Experimenting with colour has become a fashionable trend, so don’t wait, add a pop shade or two to your interiors for an instant facelift. Clear glass accessories are another great way to highlight and balance the bright colours. He says, "Think of it like dressing up yourself. Big spaces look especially stunning when paired with neutral tones such as sage, lilac, periwinkle, black, grey and whites.". Do look for interesting, offbeat pieces that tell a story.

Ashok Basoya, founder of a premium furniture centre, explains how to use these colours in the best way possible. Do experiment with patterns and shades.Bright colours are trending in a big way in modern houses. A nice pop of colour on a wooden or glass table is just what the dining room needs along with slight hints of colour on the fabric. Other options include customised wallpaper, printed or woven curtains, framed paintings, interesting side tables, art curios etc. Do check out the colour against bright light when opting for fabric (especially in curtains) to ensure that it will not strain the eye over long periods. Depending on your personal style, mix and match colours that appeal to you. "While using bright colours there should be a shade of neutral to make it an inviting space. Instead, go for a signature wall and balance with muted colours on others. Another great way to balance it out is by using different hues of the same colour.

For example, let the middle cushion cover be bright and colourful (made of fabrics with sheen like velvet, silk or satin as a highlighter) and the rest of the cushions can be in linen or cotton in subtle hues. Pair neon shades with mellow colours like pale beige, mauve, pastel pink, pista green or even light grey with some subtle embroidery pattern, fine print or soild shades with detailing around. Overdoing colour without the right mix can make it jarring to the eyes. The contrast makes it very inviting for guests and owners and adds a different level of energy to the room. Bright coloured cushions are one of the easiest ways to incorporate these trendy colours in your room. Bright colours such as canary yellow, vermillion, crimson, fuschia, neon pink, neon blues are making their way into people’s houses today.

One of the beads embroidery machines Manufacturers designers said that the quality of fabric used and the intricate designs of the dresses make them expensive. Located close to Hauz Khas, the market has been established within the remnants of the Siri Fort. Ms Basin deals in hand painted articles like bags, frames, trays, shoes, and tea coasters which are designed by her. The footfall increases, especially during the wedding season that lasts from September to mid-February. To cater to customers, the shop owners are going on online portals. Alisha Bhasin, who owes a shop of hand-painted articles, said in the last six years, Dada Jungi House has seen a good amount of customers. She also sells customised products across India and even exports them to various countries.New Delhi: Shahpur Jat village has emerged as a popular fashion destination in the capital. She added that the market has various lanes like Fashion Street, Dada Jungi House etc famous for its designer boutiques.

They have a separate election commission in each state and they follow their own rules.I have been asked what with the current technology with which they are able to break in and hack into anything and I replied that the EVM is only a calculator. So, they abandoned it. An American had written that it is a blend of a calculator and a Casio musical instrument because of the placement of the buttons. So, I knew, barring some unforeseen incidents, the machine will deliver. I know political parties, including BJP questioned this. The EVM is environment friendly, quick casting of votes and there are no invalid votes.I was the CEC when I got a call from a politician, saying the machine was giving wrong results. Imran Khan was also there in a meeting when they had a workshop on conducting elections. And in every polling station, the list is in a different order. Then they didn’t open their mouths. The Election Commission has brought out a nice booklet on the EVM and how we developed it. When someone tried a sophisticated machine, it did not work but when India tried something simple, it worked.

There are so many safeguards in the machine. There was a remarkably warm reception for the machines. The government was never hesitant about allotting money. He was an economist at that time, not a politician. Every state has a different system as America is a confederation.  The EVM had come to stay. The machines are absolutely trustworthy." I am not interested in any particular party. But we launched a huge campaign and our officers did a good job. The machine was not immediately introduced because there is always apprehension associated with it. I have always been saying the machines are credible, robust and reliable. It started during Seshan’s period. People wanted to use them. The famous Tamil writer Sujatha was also associated with the EVM as one of the engineers. Its cost was around Rs 300-400 (of one EVM). We had about 8 lakhs in hand and needed a standby of 2 lakhs. I noted it down and said I would call back in 10 minutes. It is also available on the website and it removes many of the apprehensions of the people.

Rejecting AAPs (Aam Aadmi Party) complaint regarding alleged tampering of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), the Election Commission (EC) told AAP that the party should reflect why it performed below expectations in Punjab. The embroidery machines Factory EC also said that as per the provisions of current laws, the party would have to file a petition in the High Court to get the necessary orders for verification of results. Responding to AAPs request for verification of poll results, the EC said, “It is unfair on the part of your party to attribute unsatisfactory poll performance of your party to the alleged tamperability of EVMs.”The EC reiterated that the EVMs are completely safe and tamperproof. When AAP pointed out that certain countries have stopped using EVMs, the EC said that the EVMs used in India are completely different from those used in other countries. ECs reply read, EVMs cannot be compared with machines of other countries…most of the systems used in other countries are computer-based and controlled with Internet connectivity. Hence, these could be vulnerable to ‘hacking’. The software in the EVM chip is one time programmable and burnt into the chip at the time of manufacturing.”

He worked with his team to digitally reconstruct a face and then created a cast of the skull on which layers of clay were added to look like facial tissues and replicate the image generated by the program. His team had extensively researched and analysed various skulls of men from Jesus’ time, to understand and design the build of an average Jewish man that lived in Galilee, Israel which is very different from the tall, lean paintings of Jesus. London: Millions across the world have a fixed mental image of Jesus, who has often been depicted as fair skinned with dark blonde locks and light coloured eyes, but a forensic expert who tried to recreate what Jesus looked like with the help of science, will tell you how flawed these depictions are. While Neave's image is a far cry from popular depictions, experts believe that his version is closer to the truth than what the art world would have you believe.

Autism advocates are excited that researchers are developing technologies to help the estimated one in 68 American children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder."There's not a machine that can read your mind, but this helps with the emotions, you know, recognizing them," Julian said.Julian Brown smiles while wearing Google Glass glasses at The Wall Lab in Stanford, California. The Silicon Valley tech giant stopped producing the headset beads embroidery machines Manufacturers last year after it failed to gain traction, but the device found new life among medical researchers.".When the device's camera detects an emotion such as happiness or sadness, Julian sees the word "happy" or "sad" - or a corresponding "emoji" - flash on the glass display.-based startup, is also developing Google Glass-based applications to help children with autism improve their face-reading abilities and social skills. The device also tests his ability to read facial expressions. Now the 10-year-old San Jose boy is getting help from "autism glass" - an experimental device that records and analyzes faces in real time and alerts him to the emotions they're expressing.

"The autism glass program is meant to teach children with autism how to understand what a face is telling them. Stanford student Catalin Voss and researcher Nick Haber developed the technology to track faces and detect emotions in a wide range of people and settings."Anything that can help this population is very welcome and very important, but even the best technology will never be enough because we are dealing with a population with often very, very profound needs," said Jill Escher, president of Autism Society San Francisco Bay Area.Currently, many autistic children learn to read facial expressions by working with therapists who use flashcards with faces expressing different emotions. And we believe that when that happens they will become more socially engaged," said Dennis Wall, who directs the Stanford School of Medicine's Wall Lab, which is running the study."Kids with autism are not getting enough of the care that they need for as long as they need it, and we need to fix the problem," Wall said. The study is still in its early stages, but Wall said participating children have shown gains in their face-reading abilities and family feedback has been encouraging. Like many autistic children, Brown, 10, has trouble reading emotions in people's faces, one of the biggest challenges for people with the neurological disorder."Glass and wearable technology are the future. The facial recognition software was developed at Stanford University and runs on Google Glass, a computerized headset with a front-facing camera and a tiny display just above the right eye.

Google provided about 35 Google Glass devices to Stanford, but otherwise hasn't been involved in the project. If the study shows positive results, the technology could become commercially available within a couple years, Wall said. They're going to play a pivotal role in how we understand, manage and diagnose disorders like autism," said Robert Ring, chief science officer at Autism Speaks. Julian is one of about 100 autistic children participating in a Stanford study to see if "autism glass" therapy can improve their ability to interpret facial expressions. Like many autistic children, Julian Brown has trouble reading emotions in people's faces, one of the biggest challenges for people with the neurological disorder. The program runs on a smartphone, which records the sessions.Brain Power, a Cambridge, Mass. "It has helped our son who's using the Google Glasses connect with the family more," said Kristen Brown, Julian's mother."We had the idea of basically creating a behavioral aide that would recognize the expressions and faces for you and then give you social cues according to those," said Voss, who was partly inspired by a cousin who has autism. The Stanford team hopes autism glass can provide a convenient, affordable therapy that families can do at home. "I think the glasses are a positive way to encourage a kid to look someone else in the face.Julian wears the device each day for three 20-minute sessions when he interacts with family members face-to-face - talking, playing games, eating meals." Julian also gives the device positive reviews: "I really think it would help autistic people a lot.

Rather, it's where engineers will be working on some of the high-tech gadgetry needed for the company's long-term plans to connect people through smart devices, virtual-reality headsets and high-flying drones that deliver internet signals via laser to remote parts of the world. But deep inside its Silicon Valley headquarters, engineers have stocked a new lab with computerized lathes, industrial mills and tools for making physical goods. Similarly, Facebook says it developed the 360-degree video camera to show other inventors what's possible in new camera designs. The company sold more than $6 billion worth of ads in the April-June quarter, reaping more than $2 billion in profit. The lab has long workbenches for electrical engineers to spread out their gear and a room full of the lathes and milling machines, each the size of a small truck.Instead, Facebook has led an industry effort to develop more energy-efficient computer centers by sharing server designs with other companies."When you think about connecting the world, you have to build different types of hardware to help people connect," said Jay Parikh, Facebook's head of engineering and infrastructure. Facebook says its engineers had long talked about wanting such a workspace, but it couldn't be found because it didn't exist until now.The company won't say how much it spent on the lab, but it took months to build the facility, which is about a third the size of a football field, inside a refitted office building on its main campus. The Oculus operation has its own lab in Seattle, while Facebook's drone team is based in Somerset, England.

The researchers also asked participants a variety of questions to rate their "power usage," or level of expertise and comfort in using machines. This combination seems to make people more accepting of these technologies," said Sundar. They initiated online chat interactions with the various types of avatars to test the participants acceptance of those healthcare providers and their intentions to use those providers in the future.Researchers at Penn State University have claimed that people who have high confidence in machines and in their own technological capabilities are more likely to use and accept digital healthcare services. Some level of automation is clearly needed," he added."We found that the higher peoples beliefs were in the machine heuristic, the more positive their attitude was toward the agent and the greater their intention was to use the service in the future," said Sundar.Next, they exposed participants to various combinations of the healthcare provider, such as receptionist, nurse, and doctor; and agent types, such as human, avatar, and machine. The study was presented at the ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems in Glasgow, Scotland.According to Sundar, the healthcare industry can benefit from increased reliance on automated systems. The researchers recruited participants from the online workforce, Amazon Mechanical Turk, to gain a better understanding of user psychology behind the acceptance of automation in clinics.. A power user (a person with advanced computer skills) is more likely to accept a robot doctor, for example, than a non-power user," he added."We also found that power usage predicted acceptance of digital healthcare providers."In contrast, machines can be programmed to think of all the possible conditions that a patients symptoms could point to, and they never get tired. The team also noticed a double dose effect of machine heuristic and power usage."Doctors are limited by their human bandwidth, by their experience, knowledge and even state of mind from minute to minute," he said.First, the team gauged the participants preconceived beliefs about and attitudes toward machines - what is called a "machine heuristic".The team measured participants adherence to the machine heuristic by asking them to indicate their level of agreement with statements."We found that if you are high on machine heuristic and you are high on power usage, you have the most positive attitude toward automated healthcare providers."There is increasing use of automated systems in the medical field, where intake is now often conducted embroidery machines Wholesalers through a kiosk instead of by a receptionist," said S Shyam Sundar, one of the researchers, Penn State University."A machine heuristic involves stereotypes people have about machines, including their beliefs in machines infallibility, objectivity, and efficiency," said Sundar.
